Jason L. Nohr (“Jay”) concentrates his practice in complex civil litigation with an emphasis in medical negligence and malpractice and serious personal injury litigation, including birth trauma and birth injury claims, medical malpractice, nursing home and elder abuse litigation, negligent and intentional torts, dangerous or defective products, and motor vehicle and truck collisions. In the first case ever addressed by the Georgia appellate courts involving arbitration clauses and nursing home claims, Jay successfully defeated a nursing home’s attempt to send a wrongful death claim to private arbitration thereby preserving the family’s right to a jury trial.
Jay also serves as an arbitrator for securities disputes and has substantial experience in representing defrauded investors in both securities arbitration and litigation matters. His experience in complex securities matters also includes representation of a receiver in federal court in actions to recover millions of dollars of investor funds taken through the fraud and misrepresentations of an elaborate Ponzi scheme.
Jay is a member of the American Association of Justice (Member: Birth Trauma Litigation, Medical Negligence Exchange Network, and Nursing Home Sections), the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Cobb County Bar Association, and served as President of the Cobb County Trial Lawyers Association in 2007. Jay is also qualified as an arbitrator for the National Association for Securities Dealers (“NASD”) and has arbitrated securities fraud claims brought by customers against brokers and brokerage firms through the NASD’s arbitration system.
