Joanna Bardis, paralegal
Jennifer Suggs joined Cauthorn, Nohr & Owen in August of 2017. Her primary practice area is domestic litigation. Ms. Suggs works closely with clients to provide effective representation during trials, hearings, mediations, and to guide and advise clients through each stage of family law matters. Her practice primarily covers metro Atlanta, including but not limited to, Cobb, Fulton, Cherokee, and Paulding County. Ms. Suggs is also on the Cobb County Public Defender Attorney list, representing clients who are charged with criminal misdemeanors in Cobb County State Court. She is a member of the Cobb Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Suggs received her undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Behavioral Sciences and a minor in Sociology. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate with an Advanced Legal Writing Certificate from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. She was thereafter admitted to the State Bar of Georgia.
While in law school Ms. Suggs competed on the prestigious Vale Moot Court Team which argued complex and emerging Corporation and Business Association legal issues. Additionally, Ms. Suggs was a law clerk for The Law Offices of Connie L. Williford in Macon, Georgia, assisting Ms. Williford in domestic litigation. She went on to clerk for the District Attorney’s Office of Bibb County. In Ms. Suggs’ final year of law school she participated in the Public Defender Clinic, where she was sworn into practice under the Third Year Practice Act. While clerking for the Public Defender’s Office of the Macon Judicial Circuit she represented clients in the narcotics and major felonies unit. Realizing her strong desire to practice family law after graduation, Ms. Suggs took on a second clerkship with the Law Offices of Christine M. Cruse in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Ms. Suggs currently lives in Atlanta. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and going to see live music.
