Lisa A. Owen is a experienced litigation attorney with more than 17 years of experience, primarily in family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, legal separations, domestic violence, and adoptions. Admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1996, she also practices before the Georgia’s Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals. Her practice covers metro Atlanta, including but not limited to Fulton, Cobb and Cherokee counties. She is a member of the Cobb County Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, Blue Ridge Bar Association and Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.

Prior to working at Cauthorn Nohr & Owen, Atty. Owen had the valuable experience of working as a staff attorney for highly esteemed judges in both Florida and Georgia. She clerked for U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas B. McCoun, III, and for Cobb County Superior Court Judges George H. Kreeger and James G. Bodiford.
Atty. Owen’s education was diverse. She attended University College in Oxford, England, prior to obtaining her bachelor’s degree in political science from Emory University. She then earned a Law Degree (cum laude) from Stetson University College of Law in 1996.
Outside the courtroom and office, Atty Owen has committed untold hours to such organizations as 100+ Women Against Domestic Violence, the American Cancer Society, Cobb Family Resources, and St. Catherine of Siena Church. She enjoys participating in her local community with her husband and children.
